Internal Audit Department

The Internal Audit Department is an independent entity that aims to improve the organisation’s operational activities. The role of the Internal Audit Department is to evaluate processes in a systematic and orderly manner to increase their effectiveness.

The Internal Audit enables the organisation to achieve its objectives, monitors the effectiveness of the processes carried out, and also provides advice. Internal audit may cover any aspect of the organisation’s activities.

The Internal Audit Department cooperates with all units within the organisation.

Marketing Department

It is divided into two units. A large part of the work is done by the Product Marketing team responsible for the implementation of standards and management of the processes related to the product offer. It supervises the development of the offer in all markets and is responsible for the marketing plans for individual areas. It actively cooperates with the sales teams to gain a thorough understanding of the market – both in terms of competition and customer expectations. The Marketing Communications and PR team creates comprehensive marketing communications and sales promotions to meet the product strategies and sales targets. It supervises the communication activities of the whole Group, including creating marketing texts, audio and video production, creating and managing digital communication channels, including websites, management of the relations with the media and investors. It leads strategic campaigns related to the short- and long-term communication targets, in line with the standards and guidelines adopted for the entire Group.

E-commerce Department

This is the newest department in the company working on the creation of the strategy of the Mercator Medical Group in the scope of e-commerce, activity in the digital world, online marketing and other issues relating to the digitisation of the business activities performed by the Group. The team coordinates e-commerce activities, in particular those relating to the assortment, sales and prices, and analyses their effectiveness in Poland and abroad. In addition, it cooperates with the industry and with interactive agencies and media in order to build and establish a positive image of the brand on the Internet.

IT Department

This Department is responsible for the safe operation of the network and IT systems in the whole Mercator Medical Group. It ensures their fault-free operation, supervises their correct functioning, plans their development and implements new solutions across the Group. Its tasks also include the automation and digitalisation of message flow in the organisation.

Finance

Smaller units operate in this area, which make up the financial division and cooperate closely to comprehensively implement all the financial and accounting processes of the Mercator Medical Group. The division consists of the following:

  • Accounting DepartmentThe , which keeps the accounting records for the Polish companies in the Mercator Medical Capital Group, i.e. issues invoices and all other documents, prepares tax returns under existing provisions, draws up financial statements for the Polish companies and the Mercator Medical Capital Group, and also prepares other reports: for the National Bank of Poland, the Central Statistical Office of Poland, etc. The Accounting Department is responsible for accurate registration of any economic events to ensure correct tax settlements and for correct information about the status of the assets and liabilities in the companies of Mercator Medical.
  • The Treasury Department, which ensures that the company meets its financial commitments and which seeks the sources of funding and optimises them, and also manages market risks, in particular credit and currency risks. It also manages the merchant credit of business partners and carries out debt recovery activities.
  • The Controlling Team, which is responsible for the annual budget of the Group, prepares up-to-date financial forecasts and current financial analyses, carries out controlling activities and settles investment projects.
  • Analysis DepartmentThe , which is responsible for cyclical process of sales reporting, and also prepares and supervises ongoing sales analyses. The team processes the received data, verifies the reports and together with other departments and companies prepares sales presentations.

Product Documentation Department

This Department creates, supervises and updates the set of documents necessary to sell the products of Mercator Medical in accordance with applicable laws, standards and requirements for medical devices and personal protective equipment. In addition, it contacts foreign suppliers in reference to documents and is responsible for the registration of the Group’s products in all distribution markets, maintains relations with independent laboratories in matters concerning research, and coordinates and determines product documentation standards.

Purchasing Department

This Department supervises the procurement process of goods in accordance with the purchasing policy of the Mercator Medical Group. It is also responsible for planning and coordinating activities related to, among others, the maintenance of permanent sources of supply of goods. The Purchasing Department collects the data necessary to plan purchases and conduct negotiations, and also analyses the market situation in respect of the prices of raw materials and goods.

Sales Division

The main tasks of its units include developing and maintaining business relations with customers within the assigned areas, and also the general promotion of the Company and its offering in certain market segments. As a distributor, we operate both in Poland and abroad. The European part of the Group is focused on promotion and sales of single-use medical devices. We are developing dynamically in non-medical areas as well. The Sales Department – New Markets, on the other hand, develops the distribution chain primarily by finding suitable business partners on international markets. The purpose of the team is, among others, to analyse the customer needs and prepare appropriate solutions taking into account the specificities of the given market. The team actively builds long-term business relations by, for example, regular visits and technical support of business partners.

Sales Department of Mercator Medical (Thailand) Ltd.

The Asian part of the company is focused on production and container sales of diagnostic gloves intended for dentists, veterinary practitioners and other health care professionals. It acquires business partners worldwide.

The HR and Administration Department

  • HR DepartmentThe develops and prepares the staffing policy and the associated procedures, rules and standards, implements good practices and also develops and monitors their functioning in the organisation. This team deals with the full life cycle of employees in the organisation – from recruitment, onboarding, payroll, development and training, to personnel changes and promotions.
  • Administration DepartmentThe manages the real estate (e.g. buildings) and movable property (car fleet, telephones). It cooperates with authorities, coordinates organisational and reception-related matters, and also ensures the proper circulation of documents in the company.

Design Team

This Department identifies marketing trends, analyses the market activities, and also cooperates with agencies and other external companies in order to analyse the effectiveness of marketing activities and optimise them. The Design Team, in cooperation with the Marketing Department, participates in creating marketing materials, the online store and website of Mercator Medical. It is responsible for posting the relevant content on the website and takes care of its impeccable look.

Customer Service Department

It provides comprehensive services to individual and institutional customers, in Poland and abroad. The headquarters of the department are located in Kraków and in Brześć Kujawski. The task of this team is to create the Group’s strategy in terms of customer service and building of customer satisfaction. Based on feedback, customer satisfaction is analysed and changes are implemented. The team also ensures that the positive image of the brand is built and established on the Internet.

Public Procurement Department

This Department is responsible for managing the tender procedures in accordance with the Public Procurement Act, the internal procedure of the company for the analysis and preparation of the tender documentation, and also statistics in order to create a complete picture of the tender market.

Quality Assurance Department

The Quality Assurance Department deals with the broadly understood aspect of quality, which includes defining standards arising from medical device requirements and their implementation in relation to our products and processes taking place in the company. In practice, this means cooperation with different quality-building departments of the organisation. The goal is to meet customer expectations and act in accordance with the standards confirmed by the certificates held. The Quality Assurance Department cooperates mainly with the following units: Purchasing Department, Marketing Department, Logistics Department, Sales Department, Customer Service Department.

Members of the Department are experts in interpreting requirements and translating them into reality. They are also actively working to enhance the quality system, including by conducting regular audits and initiating actions to improve its functioning. The Quality Assurance Department consists of two units:

– The Technical Documentation Department – responsible primarily for preparing and updating product technical documentation, registering products in different markets, and maintaining contacts with the authorities supervising the company in respect of medical devices.

– The Quality Control Department – responsible for assessing the physical quality of products stored in warehouses (sizes, strength, basic quality parameters for the product type) and for monitoring the quality of samples of products for customers.

In addition, the Quality Assurance Department supervises the whole documentation of the quality system, including the procedures and instructions. The Department’s team sees that they are up-to-date, available and as needed in the company’s daily work.

Supply Chain

There are several sections functioning within this department: planning, logistics of distribution, transport (headquartered in Kraków) and storage at our Logistics Centre (in Stary Brześć, near Brześć Kujawski).

  • Planning is an integrated Sales and Operation Planning process covering sales forecasting and effective storage management.
  • Logistics of Distribution and Transport are implemented across Europe in several ways: by delivering parcels, pallets and full truckloads.
  • Logistics Centre operates as a warehouse for the purposes of distribution in Poland and in foreign markets, where selling takes place either directly or through local warehouses.

The tasks of the Supply Chain at Mercator Medical include continuous improvement of processes, implementation of the highest standards, and adaptation of procedures to ensure that the products reach the customers throughout Europe more quickly and efficiently.

During a telephone conversation we would like to find out about your motivation and professional experience. We will present you the details of the position and subsequent steps in the recruitment processes, and we will also specify the time when you can expect feedback.

The message to confirm that the process of telephone conversations has been completed will be provided within the specified time to all candidates who participated in recruitment at this stage. We will arrange a meeting at a convenient time with selected candidates. You will receive an email invitation together with all the details.

The conversation may be conducted in the form of a direct meeting or video conferencing. Together with the manager we will tell you about the tasks and challenges associated with the specific position. I joined the Mercator Medical team in September 2019, already with considerable experience in the area of HR. I work in the main office in Kraków. This work is full of challenges and requires the involvement of many people. You cannot complain about boredom here. As a result, I meet interesting people with professional experience in many areas.

In the HR team I am responsible for recruitment processes on an end-2-end basis, which means that I supervise them from the start of the demand-based recruitment, sourcing, conversations and meetings, until successful onboarding of the new employee. I also deal with employee development and training.

Personally, I am passionate about coaching. I like discussing positive psychology and business psychology, and I can share a fairly extensive collection of books on the subject.
